McCartney - Paul McCartney (1970)

Lying about in the godamn destruction of the finest group of musicians ever assembled, Paul McCartney's first solo album rested in the rubble denying the dust that shakes ego to its roots. In the cataclysm that befell Camelot, Sir Paul never wavered and his undying love prevailed all of its glorious dynasty and now afforded bittersweet independence. Never did his eyes shake to the constant of human dignity that shored up his fellow destructive angels. Who really knows the pace of insanity that birthed its wretched head amongst the tired ruin, let alone the pace of responsibility that beckoned our lonely modern day saints into giving up. Blame is a bastard, and I may only lie baked with thanksgiving to this freedom loving phoenix. Yes we was lonely, but now we're fine all the while!

SUGAR MOUNTAIN - LIVE AT CANTERBURY HOUSE 1968 - Neil Young ( 2008)

A beautiful glimpse into a live showing from 1968, Neil Young invites us into the tiny asylum of his where things were easier and life was blossoming. Intimate and raw, the man and his guitar offer up classic tunes in their glorious infancy. Baby pictures as a whole, gifted by the proud parent himself, the music will drift into your mind and pacify the longing of another time. The beginnings of a rare insight into the humanity that is Neil Young.

Nothing this guy does is ever wrong.

LIVE 1971 ON THE WAY HOME/TELL ME WHY

BACKSPACER - Pearl Jam (2009)

Pearl Jam has always been there in the corner of my mind, playing away endlessly on some brass ended turnbox with the fuzzy speakers and the glowing volume dial. They have always been there in the static of life making sense of things in their consistent way, helping me along with congratulatory seasoning. They know you get it and they bring you along for the spell, grinding boot heels on propaganda leaflets and holding their own. Nothing in this system is going to affect you as long as you give yourself to the fight of remaining an individual, remaining yourself and avoiding the Kool Aid at all costs. Pearl Jam is there to help.

YEAH, I'M BACK...

If you are here for the first time...WELCOME!

If you are here because you used to come here two years ago and by chance checked back... WELCOME!

If you are here because you love music...WELCOME!

This blog USED to be something I was very proud of. I worked on it religiously every day a few years back and even brought on some very close friends to write posts and share our great love of music to anyone that would listen. If you remember, cool, if not then you really didn't miss much.

Two years ago I stopped writing here because I had shit to do that was important. The Groove lapsed into purgatory and people became grumpy. That was a nice thing in a way because it meant people liked it here.

That made me happy.

When I eventually returned to continue, some schmuck wrote me a little note...

THIS BLOG SUCKS.

So, yeah, I took it to heart. I destroyed it entirely.
I felt bad later, because of all the hard work my friends put into it and I figured that there is always going to be a critic...

Okay, what I'm getting at is I could give a rat's ass about anything. You like it? Cool. You don't? Cool.
Write whatever you want, come here if you want, don't come here if you want. I don't care.
I'm putting things up here because I like them.

Maybe you will too.

Welcome back.
